Le Mahé was designed to be comfortable at a very reasonable price. The boat takes a maximum of 12 guests in six en suite bathrooms. There are two cabins on each of the three decks. The two cabins up top have double beds, the two cabins on the main deck can either be twin beds or double beds, and the two cabins down below have twin accommodation.
Each cabin features private bathrooms, individually controlled air conditioning, a TV with an indoor video system and a small refrigerator to keep drinks or snacks in. The old saying goes, "you get what you pay for" and this is true on this boat. This is a very comfortable boat for the price of $112.50 US per day, but it is not a luxurious vessel though it may seem so from the description of the layout. She is good value for money, just don't expect luxury.
She has two social areas; one on the main deck just forward of the dive deck, and one up top, just aft of the wheelhouse and guest cabins. Video, multi-system TV and CD stereo provide entertainment and allow videographers to see their efforts immediately. A laptop computer is available for photo/video editing and games .The dive deck has wet suit hangers and tank racks, and benches to help you suit up. She has two electric Mariner compressors, so tanks are filled rapidly and quietly.
Our experienced diving staff (3 divemasters + 1 PADI instructor) organizes small groups depending on diver’s experience level (maximum 4 divers with each guide). The crew have separate quarters with showers and toilets. We offer three to four dives per day, or about 14 dives on a four-day trip. Specialty courses are available on board, such as underwater photography and video.
The boat has a small dinghy, so most of the time we dive from the main vessel. But, the dinghy is big enough to get you to the beach and back between dives, or to pick you up if you drift away from the main vessel.
